वेदबोधितेष्टसाधनताको धर्मः यथा यागादिः |
Dharma is that which is described by the Vedas as the means for achieving the desirable; for example, sacrifices etc. [MP]
अथ को धर्म किं तस्य लक्षणमिति चेत् । उच्यते यागादिरेव धर्मः । तल्लक्षणं वेदप्रतिपाद्यः प्रयोजनवदर्थो धर्म इति ।
